Quantus Weekly: Goes Live Wednesday

Quantus goes live Wednesday, September 9.

At launch, the only way to get Quantus is to mine it. Some weeks after, it will be liquid and tradable. More on that soon.

We’ve merged all of the security work from @Immunefi into our public repositories.

Last week we announced Quantum & Privacy Day, October 8th in Singapore (Token2049), co-hosted with @NEARProtocol.

Here’s what else we built last week:

Core Tech & ZK

  • All @Immunefi audit competition fixes shipped.
  • The chain supports ML-DSA-65 alongside ML-DSA-87.
  • Bound every signature to its signing context per the FIPS 204 standard, across the chain, wallet, CLI, and hardware wallet firmware.
  • Refactored transaction decoding and rebuilt the multisig transaction parser to fail closed on anything it cannot decode.
  • Hardened the networking stack against denial-of-service attacks.

Network & Infra

  • Deployed a staging mainnet and rehearsed the full launch on it: nodes across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Australia running the mainnet configuration.
  • Built the mainnet release candidates through a new automated pipeline that produces signed binaries.
  • Automated the bootnode fleet with infrastructure as code: many multi-region bootnodes plus dedicated RPC nodes.
  • Added a waiting period before any newly published third-party package can enter our builds, across every repository.
  • Cut the chain indexer’s memory use from over 90% to about 26% and set up scheduled backup restores to validate our backups.

Web & Mobile App Updates

  • Launched quantus.com/launch so users can sign up to receive email updates on our launch.
  • Shipped a website refresh.
  • Keystone hardware wallet support now handles multiple accounts.
  • Released CLI v2.1.3 with fixes.
  • Released miner v4.0.2 with separate optimized kernels for Apple Metal and Nvidia.

Content & Partnerships

  • Announced Quantum & Privacy Day, our Singapore event with NEAR during Token2049 week:

Stay frosty, quants.
